About Card Shop Guide Japan
Card Shop Guide Japan helps visitors to Japan find trading card shops and keep track of new Japanese card releases. It covers the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the ONE PIECE Card Game and the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG: 225 booster packs, decks and sets, and 2,680 shops, including 41 chains.
Where the information comes from
- New releases: the official websites of each game (Pokémon Card Game, ONE PIECE Card Game, Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG). We check them every day. Release dates and prices are the makers' announcements; prices are suggested retail prices with tax.
- Shops: the official Pokémon Card Game shop finder, the ONE PIECE Card Game official shop list and the store lists of card shop chains. We update them every week. A few shops are placed on the map from their address, so a pin can be slightly off.
- Product descriptions: written in our own words from the official product page and announcements. When something comes only from card news sites and is not yet official, we say so. Descriptions are drafted with the help of AI and checked against the official text.
- Translations: product names are translated with AI and use the official English names where they exist. If a name looks wrong, please tell us.
What we can and cannot tell you
- A release date is not stock. Popular sets sell out on release day, and many stores sell them by lottery or with purchase limits. We cannot tell you whether a shop has a product today.
- We do not list shop prices or buy prices. Card shops set their own prices, and they change daily. Check at the shop.
- Opening hours and closures come from the official lists and can change. Check with the shop before you go.
- We do not help with reselling. Our guides assume you follow each store's purchase limits and lottery rules.
Images and names
Product names and images belong to their owners (The Pokémon Company, Bandai, KONAMI and others). Images are shown directly from the official websites, and every product page links to the official page. This site is independent and not affiliated with any maker, shop or chain.
